Spring activity in the area.

The crew of the Mckeil tug Tony MacKay presently tied up at the Strait of Canso Superport Dock in Mulgrave have been busy taking on fresh water and about 12,000 litres of diesel fuel for operating.It is presently waiting its turn to go alongside at the Martin Marietta Quarry dock in Aulds Cove  to load aggregate.

Theres a number of bulk carrier scheduled to load at the Quarry in the coming days and the Pioneer was first to arrive this afternoon about 1630h with APA pilot Mike Langdon on the bridge.The assisting tug was the Point Valiant with Captain Andrea MacDonald in the wheel
house.The oil product tanker Silver Lining will be departing the Nustar No. 2 berth at 2100h with APA pilot Capt. Evan MacDonald assigned.
The CCG ship Edward Cornwallis steamed in from the north late in the afternoon and is at present docked in Mulgrave.
