Catching up with you...

Commitments took me out of the area for a time and I wasn't able to keep everyone updated. So I will try to correct the imbalance. Today as the wind and rain picked up in this area the Sealuck II was being anchored in Inhabitants Bay by pilot Capt. Evan Mac Donald .The vessel is in for an Asian Gypsy Moth inspection by the good folk from CFIA before proceeding upriver. The vessel is scheduled to depart around 1600h today with pilot Capt. Chuck MacDonald tasked to the ship.
At the martin Marietta materials quarry dock the CSL bulker Sheila Ann is taking on 51,700 metric tonnes of  aggregate to be delivered to Jacksonville Fla.
The tanker Alpine Legend paid a visit to Nustar Ocean Berth 2 and departed for Rhode island with 304,000 barrels of gasoline.
The bulk carrier Cape Elecktra paid a short visit to Inhabitants Bay  for a CFIA inspection and again the intrepid moth seekers were looking for the Asian Gypsy Moth  caterpillars or some such evidence to thwart a possible infestation..
A treat for tall ship watchers was provided by the appearance of the Norwegian registered vessel Sorlandet  which appeared at the south on the evening of June 6th headed north and transitted Canso Lock bathed in late day sun.

Another late afternoon treat was provided by the appearance of the pleasure yacht which also made passage of the Canso Strait after a stop in Port Hawkesbury and transitted our lock.
The coast guard vessel Edward Cornwallis was back in for a short visit and was alongside the south wall at Port Hastings on business.
More updates to come as I see the pioneer is at the Georgia Pacific dock in Point Tupper dock taking on what remains of their leftover product  and another bulker is scheduled in on Sunday morning for another CFIA inspection.
